Eloise Greenfield (1929) wrote a biography of Rosa Parks for children in 1973. It was the winner of the Carter G. Woodson Book Award. She also wrote Africa Dream in 1976 which won the Coretta Scott King Award. Greenfield is also a poet. She has lived most of her life in Washington, D.C.
